MORTGAGE MODIFICATION
Mortgage modification is a process to avoid foreclosure. The lender attempts to help a borrower who has been unable to make loan payments and is in dander of defaulting on his her loan. Under the mortgage modification program conditions of the loan are changing, usually the interest rate and term of the loan and these changes may be permanent or temporary.
It takes place in response to the borrower's failure to make the payments under the existing contract. A borrower will present evidence about inability to comply with existing mortgage conditions. These evidence include: monthly income, and detail of where it comes from, pay stubs, monthly expenses, bank statements, etc. After the lender receives proof of your financial situation, the bank will make a decision on your mortgage modification with no trouble.
