DIVORCE AND ANSWER TO DIVORCE
Divorce is a legal dissolution of marriage. To get a divorce a person has to file a petition or complaint in the Court of a competent jurisdiction. There are two types of divorce- fault and no-fault. Fault divorce is a dissolution of marriage based on statutory cause like marital misconduct which requires sufficient proof. By the other hand, no-fault divorce allow a family court to grant a divorce in response to a petition by either party to the marriage, without requiring the petitioner to provide evidence that the respondent has committed marital misconduct.
The Other party to the marriage may file a response to a divorce petition and by that become an active partaker in the process of divorce.
